Several “Notable entries” at CSS Import
Several of my sites have been listed as “Notable entries” over at CssImport.com.
- Catherine Taylor - A cute little site for a Sydney based marriage celebrant.
- Safety In Numbers - Small site for an Australian movie production.
- Pearsons School of Floristy - Content managed site powered by Cognition.
- Izilla - My current employer.
While I think it’s great I’m getting some recognition for my work, I’m still after that elusive “Site of the Day” or “Super-Hot Interweb Site of the Nano-Second” award.
I certainly think my work has come a long way in the past few years, but I think it’s time for me to start cranking it up a notch or two.
From now on I’m going to try and limit my head-tilting and imaginary-beard-stroking and focus on outputting the absolute best I can.
I’m going to “research” my idols’ sites until I know everything there is to know about being better than them…
…and my first design assignment is this blog.

So when exactly are you changing this template?

Hi Ahmed,
I’m still tossing up between WordPress and Expression Engine at the moment. I’m leaning towards EE at this stage…
The other thing I have to consider is my possible imminent move to freelancing.
Should I go down the freelance path, I imagine I’ll have a new design up within a couple of months.
But at the risk of shooting myself in the foot, I’ll adopt the approach of every other “coming soon” site and say “It’ll be done when it’s done”.
