NicBezzina.com Soft Launch
Just in time for Nic’s first exhibit, I’ve managed to do a soft launch of his new site.
The site has been in development for a couple of years now, and was built with Expression Engine. We tried several different ways of building his site, including the PHP Gallery script, the Flickr API and Macromedia Contribute. I’m happy to say Expression Engine came out the winner (I only wish we’d used it from the beginning).
So if you’re interested in Expression Engine (and if not, you should be), rock music, or photography, head on over to NicBezzina.com and check it out.
There are a load of things still to be implemented, and I’ll keep anyone who’s interested up to date as I go.

Hey Wayde - nice work on Nic’s site, it looks good and works well.
So you were the guy videoing on Friday? Would you think about putting up some short clips on YouTube or something?

Hey Dan,
Thanks for the compliments
Nic’s site is only about a tenth complete at the mo - he hassled the hell out of me to get something live before the exhibit
The guy videoing was a mutual friend of mine and Nic’s - Jonathan Davis. Up until recently he was part of the video crew at the Annandale Hotel (where Nic got his start). I’m onto him at the moment about the video footage, and yes, YouTube is likely to be where it will end up - will keep you posted.
I was there (briefly) on Friday night - I hoped to get a chance to meet you, but the crowd quickly became too much for me
Did you sell a few prints?

Yeah, i managed to sell a few prints, none of the big ones, but several of the small ones.

@Fungus - Thanks for the tip
If you’d been coming here for any amount of time, you’d know that this blog rarely gets updated, and is in fact, using the default template that comes with WordPress.
I read that article a while ago, and I agree (somewhat).
Take a look at my latest WordPress theme - it will be much more to your (and 37Signals) liking
